This post is a side spin from my recent visit to Gothenburg, Sweden. Sjobacka is a park located at the south of the city, it is filled with boats and a hot spot for fisherman.
What made this trip so mysterious, is that I spent 4 hours on the park and did not see a single person. What I did find is abandoned boats, small lodges hidden in overgrown bushes and a lot equipment that looked like it has not been used in a long time.
When I returned back to my Air BnB, I tried to find as much information as I could, but I was surprised to find little had been written about the park.
I will allow the below images to do the talking, so you can grasp an idea of what it was like for me. I felt like I was on Castaway, which was both liberating and slightly unnerving.
